Meet Dan McGuire, owner and project manager
Owner Dan Maguire first came to Hanmer Springs for Village Lake, an 18-month build that ended up bringing his family here permanently. Dan visits every site, prepares every quote himself (usually handwritten first, then passed to the office) and project manages every job through to handover.
He is the person you'll speak to by phone, on Zoom or standing on your site. He prefers challenging, bespoke work to cookie-cutter homes, which suits a team of four to eight fully qualified builders led by experienced foremen.
We have been building around Hanmer Springs since 2004 and are now the largest building company in the village. Apprentices trained on our sites have gone on to run building companies as far afield as Canada and Portugal.
Our long-standing supplier and subcontractor relationships matter on your job, too: materials are forecast six to eight weeks ahead, alternatives are suggested when supply is tight, and subcontractors are paid promptly, so they come back and finish the job properly.
